Did you know the biggest reason people give why people procrastinate?
The biggest and most common reason people give is “I am tired; I will do it later”.
What do you do if you find yourself giving this excuse?
If you say, “I am tired”, then just go and sleep. Yes, you heard it right. Just go and Sleep. You must get at least 8 to 9 hours of sleep (this is coming from a man (me) who thought sleeping was a waste of time).
You need to be energetic and at your best to face the challenges of work and life. Tom Rath has written a wonderful book “Eat, Move and Sleep”. All 3 are important but for now let us focus on sleep.
A wise thing to ensure that you get a good night’s sleep is to set a Bedtime Alarm. Set this up and follow this diligently. You will never need to set a morning alarm as you will automatically wake up in the morning.
P.S. Did you know that up until 1880 (the electric bulb was not discovered) we used to sleep for 10 hours. Then Edison commercialized electricity and by the 20th century, we were getting 8 hours sleep. Now we sleep on average somewhere around 6.7 hours.
