Most people whether in our industry/profession or in others don’t act as quickly as they should. According to Author and Leadership Expert John Maxwell, these people find themselves subject to the Law of Diminishing Intent.
The Law of Diminishing Intent says, “The longer you wait to do something you should do now, the greater the odds that you will never actually do it.”
Ask yourself – How many times have I said that I will do something later and then not done it at all?
If you answer this truthfully, you will realize, the correct answer is ‘so many times that you may have even lost count of it.’
How do you overcome this?
Well, this is going to be discussed in a detailed post to follow sometime soon, but the short answer is Don’t Delay…Take Action today even if you are dealing with imperfect information (which will happen most of the time). Life is full of incredible amazing opportunities. But to make the most of these, you need to act.
