An Australian Advisor said a fascinating thing.
She said “Most advisors might be good technical people, but they are not truly entrepreneurial. They are not Explorers. Their businesses have become fat and happy. They feel there is no need to change. Why do something when it is not broken. Why change?”
She added “The only reason people will change is when they have a desire to make an impact rather than just making money. The best part is that firms that actually change end up becoming far more financially successful and absolutely world class.”
I could not agree more with these thoughts.
Ask yourself “What is the purpose of your business beyond making money?”
Is there a Purpose? Only real professionals and firms with a purpose will invest. The rest obsess about costs and are very slow decision makers.
Needless to say, purposeful firms (the ones who invest and change) are the ones who go on to be super successful and are loved by their clients. They transform lives and make this world a better place.
There is a shortage of such people and firms. We desperately need the Explorers.
Which camp are you in “Explorer OR Why Change”?
