Eknath Easwaran in his book “The Upanishads”, wrote some brilliant lines. I loved a verse so much that I had to share this with you (in the first Nano of 2024).
“In haunting words, the Brihadaranyaka declares:
You are what your deep, driving desire is.
As your desire is, so is your will.
As your will is, so is your deed.
As your deed is, so is your destiny.”
Everything ever achieved, we owe to this urge to reach beyond our grasp, do the impossible, know the unknown.
There is a hidden power residing in each one of us…But this will only be activated if we truly and deeply desire something. In short, our deep driving desire becomes our destiny.
If that’s true, what’s your deep driving desire for your business and for your life?
What do we truly want out of life and business?
What do we long for so deeply that it shapes our choices and actions every day?
Identifying this can be a powerful motivator and can provide direction and purpose to everything we do.
